Event Report of Cybercrimes Programme at Birpara College dated 09.09.2024 in Room B4
An interesting and most engaging Cybercrime Awareness Programme was conducted under the auspices of Birpara Police Station, Alipurduar district, in the premises of Birpara College dated 09.09.2024. The officer in charge of Birpara police station, Mr. Nayan Das along with other police personnel addressed the August gathering of students and teaching and non teaching staff of Birpara College, apprising them about the many facets of Cybercrimes with meaningful poster exhibits displayed on wooden easels. One important aspect of this programme was the attendance of school children from schools in the neighbourhood who were not only made aware of the prevalent cybercrimes, but also in a magnanimous gesture , distributed spectacles among the students following eye examination by doctors in a medical camp. The Principal, Dr. Kaustav Chakrabarti, Birpara College, was also present during the solemn ceremony and was happy to be part of the social extension programme. The campus was also visited by the SDPO, Jaigaon, Alipurduar district, Mr. Prasanto Debnath, who likewise participated in the programme, and gave way the remaining spectacles to the students and also the teachers from different schools who received them on behalf of their students.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks.
