A students’ seminar was conducted by the Department of History, Birpara College dated- 20.05.2025 in the Room A-7 with the students of 6th Semester Honours for the academic session 2024-2025. The number of students who presented their papers in the course of the seminar was twenty two. The papers were presented on a wide range of topics with select themes from the History of Modern India (c 1857-1950). By this paper presentation, the students got hands-on experience on the methodology of writing small dissertations that would eventually help them in higher studies. The department consistently follows the principle of participative and experiential learning to inculcate the love of History among the students. There were also lively interactions between the panelists and the paper presenters which helped the latter in the clarification of doubts and historical concepts. Overall, the seminar was a grand success.
