The Department of Bengali at Birpara College was established in the year 1995, marking the beginning of its academic journey with the introduction of the Honours course in the same year. Currently, the department offers the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) programme with Honours in Bengali. It is supported by a team of five dedicated faculty members who are actively engaged in both teaching and academic enrichment, striving to provide quality education and mentorship to students.
