Year of Establishment: 2005

The Department of Nepali was established in 2005 when it offered Nepali as a General (Pass) subject. Nepali as an Honours subject was introduced in 2009.

Welcome To Department of Nepali

ईस्वी १९८६ मा वीरपाडा कलेज स्थापना भएदेखि स्नातक तहमा नेपाली एउटा ऐच्छिक विषयका रूपमा पढाइनु पर्छ भन्ने विद्यार्थीहरूको मागलाई ध्यानमा राखी उच्च शिक्षा विभाग, पश्चिम बङ्गाल सरकार अनि उत्तर बङ्ग विश्वविद्यालयले ईस्वी २००५ मा अनुमोदन प्रदान गयो । तत्पश्चात् जुलाई २००५ देखि श्री सुखदेव शर्मा संविदा शिक्षकका रूपमा नियुक्त भई शिक्षादान गर्नुभयो । उक्त अविधि स्नातक नेपाली विषय लिएर पढ्न प्रतिवर्ष लगभग डेढ सय विद्यार्थी थिए । ईस्वी २००८ जुलाईदेखि श्री दिल कुमार प्रधान लेक्चररका रूपमा नियुक्त भई आउनु भयो। २००९ देखि विद्यार्थीहरूको माग अनुरूप नेपालीमा ‘सम्मान’ (अनर्स) लिएर पढ्ने अनुमोदन प्राप्त भयो । नेपाली स्नातक सामान्य एवम् सम्मानका रूपमा पढेर नेपाली विद्यार्थीहरू स्नातक एवम् स्नातकोत्तर तहसम्म विभिन्न विश्वविद्यालयमा अध्ययन गर्न पुगे । नेपाली सम्मानको दोस्रो ब्याचका विद्यार्थी सुश्री रीना छेत्री उत्तर बङ्गाल विश्वविद्यालयको नेपाली सम्मान विषयका टपर बनिन् । यस कलेजबाट नेपाली ‘सम्मान’ अध्ययन गरी विभिन्न विश्वविद्यालयबाट स्नातकोत्तर अध्ययन गरी NET, SET परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण गरिसकेका छन् अनि विद्यावारिधि पनि गर्दै छन् ।

अतः नेपाली विभाग, वीरपाडा कलेज वर्तमान अध्ययनरत एवम् भविष्यमा अध्ययनार्थ यस कलेजमा आउने प्रत्येक विद्यार्थीलाई उच्च स्तरीय शिक्षा प्रदान गर्न सदैव तत्तपर रहने छ । हामी प्रत्येक विद्यार्थीलाई सुचिन्तित, मनोयोगी एवम् लगनशील बनेर अध्ययन गरी आफू एवम् राष्ट्रलाई बलियो पार्न अघि आउने आह्वान गर्दछौं ।
